Sydney, UK, 4 August 2026<\/strong> \u2014 OpenSolar today announced a major expansion of its sales tools, giving solar installers new ways to present their recommendations, help customers compare buying options, and manage the journey from proposal to payment within one platform.<\/p>\n

The expanded sales experience brings together customisable proposals, premium 2D and 3D imagery, flexible finance options, and integrated checkout with embedded e\u2011signature and payment collection. It is designed to address three common reasons solar sales stall: customers do not see enough value, they cannot find a suitable way to pay, and they face too much friction when they are ready to proceed.<\/p>\n

At the centre of the expansion is Sales Machine Proposal<\/a>, OpenSolar\u2019s customisable proposal experience. Installers can choose from classic scroll and interactive side-by-side formats, create quick quotes for standalone work and commission fully bespoke proposals. Proposals can also include solar, batteries, EV chargers and heat pumps, helping installers sell a wider range of home energy solutions.<\/p>\n

Installers can bring designs to life with premium 2D and 3D imagery<\/a>, available on a pay-per-project basis without an ongoing subscription. The enhanced imagery gives customers a clearer view of how a proposed system will look on their property and helps installers explain their recommendation more effectively.<\/p>\n

OpenSolar has also expanded the finance and ownership options<\/a> that installers can present within their proposals. Available options vary by market and provider, but can include cash, loans, home equity finance, leases and power purchase agreements. Customers can compare information such as monthly payments, term, APR, total repayable and estimated savings before choosing how they want to proceed.<\/p>\n

Regional finance capabilities include OpenSolar\u2019s UK Finance Marketplace with Propensio<\/a> and Selina;<\/a>\u00a028 Watt <\/a>\u00a0and Plenti<\/a> in Australia, and Sungage<\/a> loans and Figure<\/a> HELOCs in the United States, subject to provider availability and eligibility.<\/p>\n

Once a customer has selected an option, OpenSolar\u2019s integrated checkout<\/a> brings the remaining steps together. Installers can collect electronic signatures<\/a>, deposits and milestone payments, issue invoices and track payment activity through CashFlow without moving the customer between disconnected systems.<\/p>\n

The expanded tools also support a wider range of work beyond conventional solar installations. Quick Quote can be used for standalone products and services, including EV chargers, heat pumps, roofing, HVAC, inspections and maintenance, depending on the installer\u2019s market and offering.<\/p>\n

The new sales capabilities form part of OpenSolar\u2019s free end-to-end platform for solar professionals.<\/p>\n
