Buy premium imagery only when the job needs it

🇦🇺🇳🇿 Imagery Marketplace

  • Imagery Marketplace lets you buy premium imagery when a project needs better coverage, higher resolution, or 3D data. Review the site location, coverage area, price, and Wallet balance before you commit, then load the imagery into the project after purchase.

Move SolarAPP+ permits forward with less paperwork

🇺🇲 Integrations

  • See whether a project is SolarAPP+ eligible, complete more permit fields from project data, and track permit progress in the project. This gives your team a more consistent permitting flow, helping reduce manual admin work while approved permit documents are saved back to the project automatically.

Cloover finance now available in Germany

🇩🇪 Integrated Finance

  • Integrated Finance is now available in Germany. With Cloover finance options integrated directly into OpenSolar proposals, installers can show estimated monthly repayments alongside projected energy savings, making solar more affordable and easier for customers to say yes to.

CashFlow

Spot direct payments that need review – When a customer submits a Direct Payment through checkout, it now appears in Needs Attention with the project address and payment amount. From there, you can go straight to the project to review the transaction.

🇺🇲🇦🇺🇬🇧 Let customers scan to start payment from a proposal PDF – Proposal PDFs can now include a secure QR code that takes customers straight to their deposit milestone on mobile. This gives customers a faster path from a static proposal to the next payment step.

Get a daily recap of invoice sync failures – A daily email now highlights invoices that failed to sync because of missing or invalid ledger or tax settings. It gives you a clearer prompt to fix accounting setup issues and keep invoices syncing.

Sync invoices to accounting without CashFlow emails – Keep invoice sync active for Xero or QuickBooks while turning off customer-facing CashFlow invoice emails. You can still track the invoice in OpenSolar and send customer billing from your accounting software, without duplicate payment requests going to the customer.

Keep your business ID synced in one place – Your local business ID now stays in sync between CashFlow and Company Details. Update it in either place, and OpenSolar keeps the same details across both areas so you do not have to enter them twice.

Integrated Finance

🇬🇧 Add your MCS Accreditation Number for finance eligibility – You can now view and edit your MCS Accreditation Number in Business Info. Existing MCS numbers already collected manually have been backfilled, helping support finance eligibility with a reliable compliance field.

Share finance options without sending the full proposal You can now share a direct Finance Marketplace link or QR code for a specific system and payment option. This gives customers a faster way to review finance and apply from a text, email, or handout.

Design Studio

🇺🇲 Design SolarNEST systems with mounting and BOM calculations – Use the new SolarNEST mounting calculator to design rooftop and ground-mount systems in the US, with BOM calculations for supported SolarNEST configurations.

Imagery Marketplace

🇦🇺🇳🇿 Purchase premium imagery from the Design page – General Managers, Sales Managers, and Designers can now purchase Nearmap and MetroMap imagery from the Design page by default. This saves admins from extra permission setup and keeps imagery purchasing right where design work happens.

Hardware Shop

🇺🇲🇦🇺🇬🇧 Order components for multiple projects in one checkout – Select one or more projects, add components from their designs to the BOM, and purchase for multiple projects at once.

AI Lead Gen

Get better AI Lead Gen details before the quote starts – AI Lead Gen now helps you collect cleaner customer intake from the first step. Customers are guided to design the roof, enter an email in the expected format, and see the organization’s country as the default map view before they enter an address. You can choose whether Battery Only appears on the form, giving your team more control over what customers can request.

Sales Machine Proposal

Set proposal text styling once – Choose the font family and font color at the proposal or template level, then apply it across the whole proposal. This helps keep your branding consistent without updating every text box one by one.

Choose the proposal language – You can now choose the proposal language from Settings in the proposal toolbar. This is available globally in beta, with translations for around 12 languages.

Customize Classic online proposals with a live preview – Classic online proposals now have a more visual editing experience. Use the sidebar to adjust settings, add or edit sections, and preview the proposal as you build.

General

Show adder totals by category in documents You can now show total adder price or cost by category in contracts and documents, such as Battery, HVAC, or EV. This helps keep documents cleaner when you want category totals instead of listing or calculating every adder by hand.

See which adders are used in project exports – Your export now includes separate Price Adders and Cost Adders columns with the individual adder names for each project. This makes it easier to find projects using specific adders and review which add-ons show up across your exported data.

View install dates from the Projects list – Turn on the optional Install Date column in View Settings to see scheduled installation dates without opening each project. You can also sort by install date to organize projects by installation schedule.

Fixes

Design Studio
  • 🇬🇧 Accessory and battery matching for key suppliers – Fixed BOM matching for Waxman, Nuvision, and Alernergy, so the right accessories and compatible batteries are handled more reliably.
  • More complete mounting calculator components – Added missing Clenergy, Fastensol, and K2 components to their mounting calculators, so Pros can select supported supplier parts that were not previously available.
  • 🇺🇲🇬🇧 Electrical component auto-add accuracy – Improved auto-add logic for electrical components so DC cable sizing is based on the correct per-string current, instead of combined MPPT current.
  • More flexible Auto Design component quantities – Fixed Auto Design templates so “other” components can scale from panel, inverter, or battery quantities, instead of only using fixed quantities.
  • Customized component specs in the selector – Fixed an issue where the component selector did not show a Pro’s customized component specs. The updated specs now appear in the selector and carry into related areas, including the electrical dialog.
  • Integrated DC isolator checks – Fixed an issue where the electrical dialog could incorrectly show that an inverter had an integrated DC isolator. That message now only appears when the inverter is flagged with an integrated DC isolator in the component specs.
  • Currency display in end-of-life estimates – Fixed an issue where battery or inverter end-of-life estimates could show different currencies in the proposal and EOL section.
  • Archived components in mounting automation – Fixed an issue where mounting automation could add components a Pro had already archived.
  • Tariff row display – Fixed an issue where the tariff UI could create a new row that looked like a duplicate of the existing tariff data.
  • Clearer add-on part guidance – Recommended component modals now show notes for quantity and compatibility requirements, alongside updated product details, images, pricing, and quantity controls.
Hardware Shop
  • 🇬🇧 City Plumbing supplier visibility – Fixed an issue where City Plumbing was hidden from the Shop when the organization was not connected. It now appears as a supplier option and is marked Not Connected until set up.
  • 🇺🇲🇦🇺🇬🇧 Shop breadcrumbs for API and CSV suppliers – Fixed an issue where breadcrumbs did not consistently show the supplier name for API and CSV suppliers. Breadcrumbs now update correctly when switching suppliers or moving into supplier category pages.
  • Hardware and Shop performance – Improved performance and responsiveness across Hardware and Shop areas. Component selector improvements apply globally. Shop improvements apply in the US, UK, and AU.
  • 🇺🇲🇦🇺🇬🇧 Shop Checkout field validation – Fixed an issue where required field warnings appeared as soon as the Checkout page loaded. Validation messages now show after a field is selected and left empty, or when missing fields block order submission.
  • 🇺🇲🇦🇺🇬🇧 Add items to the BOM without a connected supplier – Fixed issues that could prevent Pros from adding items to the BOM when no supplier was enabled. Add Item search now returns results, and selecting an item creates one BOM line instead of duplicates.
  • COGS Override visibility by region – Fixed an issue where legacy COGS Override settings appeared in regions where Shop is not supported. Pros in Shop-supported regions now see the latest COGS Override prompt in the Pricing tab.
  • 🇺🇲🇦🇺🇬🇧 Shop and Multi-Project Ordering UI cleanup – Fixed several UI issues across Shop and Multi-Project Ordering, including filter results across paginated statuses, cart badge hover styling, duplicate BOM labels, and missing or incorrect cart and project details.
  • 🇺🇲🇦🇺🇬🇧 BOM workflow reliability – Fixed several BOM workflow issues, including missing save prompts, updates not persisting after checkout, the Sold UI not displaying when selected, and the Save BOM button not working.
General
  • Paid wallet setup in one place – Fixed the setup flow for paid wallet products. If a wallet is not activated or has a zero balance, Pros can now complete the guided setup directly in the enablement modal instead of navigating away.
  • Wallet reminders before service interruption – Admins now get email notifications when the wallet balance is low, or when an integration trial is ending without an active wallet. This gives teams time to top up or activate the wallet before paid services are interrupted.
  • Wallet page updates – Fixed several Wallet page issues, including pagination switching tabs, unclear success messages, generic Stripe errors, and auto top-up alerts. The page now gives clearer feedback when managing payments and wallet settings.
  • Auto-shared project permissions – Fixed an issue where auto-shared projects defaulted to Full Access instead of using the Sharing Permission set for the org connection in Control > Connected orgs.
  • Custom sharing permission titles – Fixed an issue where users could not save a custom Sharing Permission with the same title as a preset option, such as Installer, Heat Contractor, or Sales Partner/Dealer.
  • Custom proposal PDF file size – Added an option to exclude spec sheets from Custom Proposal PDFs, helping reduce file size when large proposal files affect email delivery.
  • Project search by ZIP or post code – Fixed project search so you can find matching projects by entering a ZIP or post code in the Projects search bar. This makes it easier to find a project using the address details already saved on it.
CashFlow
  • Invoice pricing validation for rounded totals – Fixed an issue where small rounding differences could stop an invoice from being created, even when the totals matched to the nearest cent.
  • CashFlow verification access – Fixed an issue where the CashFlow setup modal could block the Documents tab for pending or conditionally approved BlueSnap applications. You can now continue verification without the Already Activated error.
