Connecting Customers with the OpenSolar Installer Community

The world is transitioning quickly from a fossil fuel powered existence to one powered by Solar Electrification.  Trillions of dollars are expected to change hands in this, the solar decade of 2025 to 2035, as homeowners and business owners make the transition in ever greater numbers.  This is one of the largest business opportunities in history, and OpenSolar wants our community of solar installers to benefit – it’s good for you, it’s good for us, and it’s good for the planet.

As more and more people are proactively searching for solar answers for their homes and businesses, we’ve seen thousands of accounts created on OpenSolar by non-solar installers, just looking to use the tools to help visualize their solar options and the money they could save.  We’ve therefore decided that when this happens, we will direct these opportunities directly to you, in the form of leads in your OpenSolar CRM.  These leads will be matched with your business, based on your location and service area, plus other factors such as your project history on OpenSolar.  Our new, intelligent lead-matching process ensures you’re paired with homeowners actively seeking the products and services you specialize in.

This step that we’re taking will give us all an opportunity to learn, and so during this introductory period there will be no charge for any leads you receive.  Over the next year or so, we’ll also be working to give you better and better lead generation tools of your own and we’ll be asking for your feedback and ideas to make them as great as they can be!  In combination, we aim to maximise our growth impact together, to accelerate the transition to a world powered by sunshine.
