Release Notes – OS 3.4.0
OS 3.4.0 cuts quoting and reconciliation busywork with preferred supplier pricing, Bank Transfers, and a new Method filter in Payouts. It also adds support for Sungage’s Sunrise™ Escalator loan and includes a round of fixes across proposals, design, and integrations.
Auto-apply supplier pricing with Supplier Preference Settings

- Set your preferred supplier hierarchy once, and OpenSolar will automatically display pricing from your top-ranked supplier in Design Studio. If your top supplier doesn’t carry the component you selected, OpenSolar uses the next supplier’s price, cutting clicks and rework.
Direct Payment is now called Bank Transfers
🇺🇲🇦🇺🇬🇧 CashFlow
- Direct Payment has been renamed to Bank Transfers, and the configuration tab is now Transfer Instructions. We also fixed layout issues on smaller screens to make setup easier.
Reconcile payouts faster with the new Method filter

- The Payouts Dashboard now includes a Method filter, so you can isolate specific payment methods or exclude offline payments and match totals to your bank deposits.
Model escalating payments with Sungage’s Sunrise™ Escalator loan
🇺🇲 Integrated Finance
- You can now select the Sunrise™ Escalator loan to model and show an escalating payment schedule, including the 2.9% annual increase.
Filter projects by exact date with the new “On” option
Project Management CRM
- Project List date filters now include an “On” condition for Sold date, Installed date, and Created date. Previously, you could only filter by Before or After.
Fixes
Classic Sales Proposal
- Online Proposal scrolling – Fixed an issue where the Online Proposal could stop scrolling if the welcome dialog closed while the proposal was still loading. The page now stays scrollable without requiring a refresh.
Design
- End-of-life modelling – Added battery and inverter end-of-life modelling to support replacement scenarios and their financial impact.
- Weather datasets – Added new weather datasets: CSIRO (🇦🇺), Himawari (🇦🇺), and PSM4 (🇺🇲).
- Installation instructions – Fixed an issue where the array and roof setbacks were missing from the installation instructions document.
- Panel placement – Improved responsiveness when placing panels in 3D designs.
Hardware Shop
- Project space tabs 🇺🇲🇦🇺🇬🇧 – Renamed the “Hardware” tab to “Shop”.
- Shop product tiles 🇬🇧 – Fixed a layout issue where restock details could push content out of alignment.
Cashflow
- Payout status sync – Fixed an issue where payouts processed between December 17, 2025 and January 5, 2026 stayed “Pending” even after they succeeded. We reprocessed the affected events and updated all impacted payouts to “Paid”.
- Xero accounting sync visibility – Improved sync status details in the Xero integration. The status badge now shows what synced, including Contacts, Invoices, and Payments, with links to the matching records. Failed syncs now show clear error messages so you can fix issues faster.
Integrated Finance
- LightReach integration updates 🇺🇲 – Fixed monthly payment calculations for adders, including batteries. Restored equipment auto-mapping from OpenSolar to LightReach. Fixed “Solar Rates” display in pricing dialogs. Enabled credit application submissions from the Payments page.
- GoodLeap lending caps 🇺🇲 – Added Price Per Watt (PPW) and battery lending caps to reduce loan rejections: $4.00/W solar, $5.00/W solar + adders, and $2,500/kWh battery. Quotes are now validated against GoodLeap underwriting limits before submission.
