What is the Market Founders Program?
OpenSolar is expanding rapidly across the globe, and is catalyzing solar adoption. As a young company, we’re only limited by how fast we can grow our organization. The problem is, climate change won’t wait.
The Market Founders Program is OpenSolar’s dedicated program to recruit, equip, train and launch the next generation of OpenSolar leaders in emerging solar markets.
We’re currently recruiting for Market Founders in Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.
What do Market Founders do?
Market Founders are OpenSolar partners and national leaders that are specially appointed to represent the OpenSolar brand in their home country, and catalyze residential solar growth in their markets by:
- Identifying, onboarding, and training solar pros in their markets
- Creating partnerships for OpenSolar with leading players in their solar ecosystems, including manufacturers, distributors, solar financiers and government entities
FAQs on the Market Founders Program
No. They are OpenSolar partners specially selected to represent the OpenSolar brand and product in a particular country.
Only one. You would be carefully selected and a key criteria would be your ability to represent OpenSolar on a national level.
You will participate in the revenue that you generate for OpenSolar, and any other approved local business opportunities that present themselves by being our local representative.
You need an important combination of deep solar industry experience, connections in the industry, and a proven entrepreneurial track record. You will be expected to represent us at the highest level, and be a powerful ambassador for the brand.
We will onboard you to the program by providing you with intensive training on the OpenSolar brand, technology platform, vision and values. We will provide a support resource to you on an ongoing basis for all technical and non-technical questions you may have. We will provide you with transparent reporting on the revenue you generate for the company, and on your share of said revenue.
Depending upon your market, personal aspirations and the results that you generate, a Sunrunner contract will last for a minimum of one year.
We’re very open to that possibility following a successful period as an OpenSolar Market Founder.
