Release Notes – OS 3.10
OS 3.10 adds Scheduling, US permitting integrations, and a simpler customer checkout with Stripe-powered payments. This release also includes Fast Rack mounting BOMs in Canada, realistic rooftop obstructions, new proposal tools for India, Shop and Supplier Assist updates, and fixes across Shop and Design Studio.

- Plan site visits, installs, maintenance, and other project work with events linked to each project. Group and filter schedules by team member or project, then sync assigned events with Google Calendar or Outlook to keep everyone current.

- For sold projects, compare available permitting partners, choose the services you need, and send a request directly from OpenSolar. Available services can include plan sets, engineering reviews, PE stamps, permit applications, interconnection, and PTO support, depending on the partner. OpenSolar prefills available project details before you send the request.
Simplify checkout and payments with CashFlow and Stripe

- Guide customers through finance, contract signing, and deposit payments in one mobile-friendly checkout flow. Connect Stripe to accept cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, and supported bank transfers, while tracking payments, payouts, and refunds in OpenSolar. Customers can leave and return without losing progress, and checkout skips payment when no deposit is required.
Add realistic rooftop obstructions to your designs
Design Studio
- Use the new Objects & Trees library to add realistic rooftop objects directly to your design, including turbine vents, pipe vents, satellite dishes, chimneys, mast heads, and skylights. The library also adds water tanks, AC units, water heaters, ladders, walkways, and handrails, with automatic shade where it applies.
Build Fast Rack mounting BOMs in Canada
🇨🇦 Design Studio
- Use the new Fast Rack Ultra mounting integration to calculate a BOM for compatible pitched-roof designs in Canada. Configure your Fast Rack anchors, clamps, rail lengths, pest protection, and other options, while OpenSolar uses project snow and wind data to calculate spans and build the parts list for ordering through Shop.
Project Management CRM
Keep the right teams in the loop on project notifications – You can now choose who receives key Project, CashFlow, and Shop notifications. Manage recipients in Control > Company > Notifications, including team members and additional email addresses for specific notification events.
Design Studio
Set a safe working radius for roof anchors – When you add an Arrest Roof Anchor Point annotation in Design Studio, you can now enter a radius in meters and see the corresponding safety zone around the anchor point when it’s selected. Add the “Site map – safety zones” placeholder to bespoke site maps to show only the anchor points and their safety zones, with a map legend for job packs.
Find and update project tariffs faster – The tariff selector now loads faster, groups tariffs by year, and removes archived tariffs from the active list. This makes it easier to find and apply the right tariff when setting up or updating a project.
Sales Machine Proposal
🇮🇳 Send proposals through WhatsApp with your message ready – Set your organization’s WhatsApp message once in Control > Templates > WhatsApp Message, using placeholders to pull in project details automatically. From the Proposal tab, OpenSolar prepares the message and proposal link in WhatsApp for you to review, edit if needed, and send from your own account.
🇮🇳 Show customers an interactive 3D view of their design – For India projects with a 3D design, customers can now explore their roof and panel layout in 3D when they open the online proposal, with no login or separate link. They can pan, zoom, rotate, compare system options, and use the sun-path controls to see shading before continuing to the full proposal.
Shop
🇦🇺🇬🇧 Track Supplier Assist quote views and expiry – You’ll now be notified when an Account Manager views your quote, when it’s due to expire in one day, and when it has expired. These updates appear in the top navigation and home page notifications, with each one linking to the relevant quote.
🇦🇺🇬🇧 Set delivery and collection preferences in Supplier Assist – Choose Delivery or Collection (Pickup) and set the relevant fulfilment details, including collection location, delivery address, and target date. Your selections carry through to checkout, API payloads, and order confirmations for a more consistent ordering workflow.
🇺🇲🇦🇺🇬🇧 Discover supplier deals in Shop – The Shop homepage now features dedicated Deals placements where suppliers can highlight promotions, competitive pricing, featured products, and other offers. Browse these deals to find purchasing opportunities from suppliers in one place.

🇦🇺 Track sales and operations performance in one dashboard – The new Pro Enterprise Dashboard gives you real-time access to business performance data, including team performance, sales margin, top-performing salespeople, product conversion, sales pipeline, and installation activity. Use the dashboard to see how your business is performing across sales and operations in one place.
Fixes
- 🇺🇲🇦🇺🇬🇧 Improved Shop and Supplier Assist performance – Fixed slow loading in Project > Shop and the Add Item component selector. Shop now loads and refreshes faster, while Add Item options stay in place as they load to help prevent the wrong component from being selected.
- 🇺🇲🇦🇺🇬🇧 Improved Save BOM visibility – Updated the Save BOM button location in Project > Shop, placing it above the BOM table alongside Sync from Design. You can now save BOM changes without scrolling to the bottom of longer BOMs.
- 🇺🇲🇦🇺🇬🇧 Fixed Shop BOM system option resets – Your selected system option in Project > Shop now stays selected when you navigate away and return, including after submitting a Supplier Assist quote or navigating through checkout. This keeps you on the BOM you were reviewing.
- 🇺🇲🇦🇺🇬🇧 Updated Add Item search for clearer component selection – The Add Item selector in the Project Shop BOM and Supplier Assist now shows the product title, OpenSolar code, and supplier SKU where available. In Supplier Assist, search results only show products available from the selected supplier, while Browse component library and Add custom item are easier to access when adding a new BOM line.
- 🇦🇺🇬🇧 Updated Supplier Assist chat controls – Press Enter to send a message in Chat & Activity > Chat, or use Shift + Enter to add a new line. This brings the chat in line with familiar messaging controls and makes longer messages easier to format.
- 🇦🇺🇬🇧 Fixed Supplier Assist loading and customer list issues – Added clearer loading states across key Supplier Assist quote actions and disabled buttons while requests are processing to help prevent duplicate actions. Updated the Customer list so Price Tier, Account Manager, and External ID selections stay in place while you edit customer details.
- 🇦🇺🇬🇧 Updated discount and delivery cost controls – Improved percentage discount entry, simplified fixed discounts to show only the relevant value field, and added controls to remove applied discounts and delivery costs. Add Discount is now Add Subtotal Discount to make it clearer where the discount applies.
- 🇬🇧 Fixed 0% VAT for eligible UK battery-only projects – Eligible UK battery-only projects now default to 0% VAT under Energy-Saving Materials relief. Existing VAT behavior for solar-only and solar + battery projects remains unchanged, and manual VAT overrides are still respected.
