OS 3.6.0 improves payments with a more flexible milestone setup, new controls for invoicing, exports, and reconciliation, and expanded QuickBooks accounting support across the US, AU, and UK. It also updates proposal, AI Lead Gen, and premium imagery workflows, and includes fixes across Design Studio, Hardware Shop, and Sales Machine.

- Payment milestones now use a more flexible setup. Your settings have already been migrated, and you can add payment instructions for bank transfer, check, or wire in about 60 seconds. You can also enable credit card, Google Pay, and Apple Pay so customers have more ways to pay.

Spot accounting sync failures sooner – Daily email summaries now highlight invoice sync failures between OpenSolar and Xero or QuickBooks, so they are easier to spot and fix.
Manage CashFlow in one place – Use the new CashFlow hub to manage project transactions, income, and payouts from one mobile-responsive dashboard.
Choose the invoice status for Xero exports – Set how invoices are exported to Xero, such as Draft or Awaiting Approval, so the export matches your approval and reconciliation process.
Control how incentives are applied in milestone calculations – Choose whether incentives like STCs or rebates are excluded from milestone calculations, giving you more control over tax handling and keeping the calculation cleaner.
Adjust post-sale payment amounts when the job changes – Trusted users can now issue invoices for adjusted amounts in the field, so totals can differ from the original system price when there is a change order or an unexpected site variation. Learn more
Track revenue more easily with updated CashFlow pricing – Fixed transaction fees of $0.15 and payout fees of $0.50 have been removed for existing CashFlow organizations, making reconciliation simpler and revenue easier to track.

🇬🇧 Help customers find finance that fits their monthly budget – Homeowners can now filter the Finance Marketplace by target monthly repayment amount, making it easier to find an option that fits their budget.
🇺🇲 Use a simpler ELN calculator with lower rates on select plans – All Energy Loan Network (ELN) plans now default to the full principal, removing prepayment assumptions and making financing easier for customers to understand. Select plans have rate reductions of up to 1%.
🇺🇲 Catch LightReach design issues earlier – Get automated warnings that suggest higher-fidelity imagery and modeling for more accurate shading reports, helping you avoid project kick-backs.
🇩🇪 Offer Cloover Ratenkauf financing in Germany – German installers can now offer Ratenkauf financing through the Cloover API integration, with real-time pricing and a digital application flow.
Sales Machine (formerly Proposals)
Set battery pricing more easily in the Project Pricing tab – Manage battery pricing with centralised controls in the Project Pricing tab. Use Smart Defaults to automatically calculate markups, or set a specific price per battery unit to help protect your margins.
Choose the proposal language – Use the language selector to choose the proposal language more easily. This helps you deliver a more consistent experience across supported languages.
Build proposals in scroll or magazine-style formats – Get more control over colours, charts, images, and page layout in Sales Machine Proposal. You can tailor the experience for a full electrification project or take customers straight to the project overview and checkout.
E-Signature & Payments
🇺🇲 Use updated 2025 California compliance templates in PandaDoc – PandaDoc California templates now use the 2025 version, including the latest Consumer Protection Guide. You can also add Solar Supporting System Documents and return signed files separately, helping you stay compliant with more flexibility in how documents are managed and delivered.

Select components faster with new component selector improvements – You can now select multiple items in the Others component selector and adjust quantities as needed. Admins can also restrict access to the All view, and the search bar is now auto-focused, so you can start typing straight away.
Choose your default performance calculator in Design Settings – Set the performance calculator you want to use by default in Design Settings. The selected calculator is also saved at the project level, so each project keeps the intended calculator even if defaults change later.
